What is Psychotherapy / Counselling?

Psychotherapy and Counselling both offer a safe environment where you can explore any difficulties you may be experiencing. Counselling tends to be shorter term therapy and can be useful when looking to address certain behaviour patterns and/or life situations. Psychotherapy focuses on working with clients for a longer term and allows the exploration of how underlying issues from the past affect our emotions, behaviours and relationships in the present. This can be a key process in achieving our full potential.

Clients often ask me why I decided to become a Psychotherapist. This is a valuable question because a therapist's motivations will often influence their style and approach to therapy.
